Septarians Nodule– were formed during the Cretaceous Period, Age of Dinosaurs
Septarian Nodule are concretions containing angular cavities or cracks, which are called “septaria”.
Septarian Nodule were formed- Cretaceous Period.–This is when land was covered by water, minerals in the shells and carcasses attracted sea floor sediments which accumulated around the carcasses and formed nodules or mud balls. When the ocean eventually receded, the mud balls dried out and began to shrink and crack into the beautiful patterns that you see inside the septarian nodules today.

Septarian Nodules –My Septarian Nodule looks like a net over a stone that has different colours , Very interesting to touch.,and look at. The cut stone ,inside does not show the colours like the out side stone.
I will add more pictures , when I polish this stone.
Happy fossicking.
